Diaphragm coupling manufacturing engineering

Diaphragm coupling in the production and design process is to use a diaphragm and two half couplings are composed, but also need to use the diaphragm pin fastening on the bushing generally will not loosen or cause recoil between the diaphragm and bushing. Some design manufacturers will provide two diaphragms, also provide three diaphragms, there are one or two rigid components in the middle, both sides are connected to the bushing, the ability to deal with various deviations is different, in view of the need for complex bending of the diaphragm, so the single diaphragm coupling is not suitable for eccentric, double diaphragm coupling can bend to different directions at the same time, in order to compensate for eccentricity.

Diaphragm coupling to extend the service life, it is recommended to set the shaft deviation to less than 1/3 of the allowable value, because when multiple deviations occur at the same time, the corresponding allowable value should be halved. Do not tighten the screws until the mounting shaft is inserted, otherwise it will cause deformation of the coupling. When tightening screws, use a torque wrench. Do not use screws other than those attached. If abnormal sound occurs during operation, please stop operation immediately and check installation accuracy and screw loosening. It is recommended to apply adhesive to the outer surface of the screw after installation and debugging to improve the protection performance.

Due to errors in manufacturing or installation of diaphragm coupling, coupling bearing deformation, thermal deformation and base subsidence and other reasons, the relative deviation of axial, angular and radial partial axes between axes will cause additional load on the shaft, bearing and coupling, so that the diaphragm coupling can absorb the three-way deviation between axes in the working condition of the unit through the flexibility of the diaphragm. Diaphragm coupling can transmit large torque, and has the advantages of simple structure, convenient processing and no lubrication, so it is widely used in ship, petrochemical industry, machinery manufacturing and other fields. YL type flange coupling is a kind of flange coupling, its structure is simple, widely used, convenient manufacturing, low cost, reliable work, assembly, maintenance are relatively simple, large transfer torque, can ensure that the two shafts have a higher accuracy, generally used for stable load, high speed or transmission accuracy requirements of the shafting drive. Flange coupling does not have radial, axial and angular compensation performance. If the alignment accuracy of the connected two shafts cannot be ensured, the service life, transmission accuracy and transmission frequency of the coupling will be reduced, and vibration and noise will be caused.
