For couplings produced in batches, taper sample columns are generally available, which can make the parts interchangeable. Couplings produced in one piece can be inspected by fitting the coupling on the shaft end. If the fit between the shaft and the hole does not meet the requirements, the hole of the coupling can be repaired.
