Cardan axis features!

The balance of cardan shaft of modern rolling mill is hydraulic balance, and its advantage is that the cardan shaft is very convenient to adjust when changing rolls. This is basically consistent with the upper roll balance principle described below. In recent years, in order to overcome the shortcomings of poor lubrication and serious wear of the universal joint, the cross shaft universal joint is widely used, and there is a trend of gradually replacing the open slide block universal joint. In addition to the cardan shaft, the balance method of other forms of connecting shafts has the same principle and adjustment method as above.

The balance of cardan shaft is hydraulic balance, and the rolling pressure of blooming mill is large, so closed frame is generally used. It is different from the ordinary frame in that there is a hole and a dovetail groove at the lower part of the front and rear posts for mounting the frame roll, and the dovetail groove is also used for mounting the frame roll. That is, a place for two frame rollers is reserved on each pillar of the frame. There are rack rollers on the blooming mill, the reason is that in the first few rolls, the rolls are short, in order to facilitate the feeding of steel, it is necessary to configure rack rollers with transmission devices. Balance on frame posts to accommodate heavy weights. There is a slot on each side of the window, which houses the balance ejector rod, and these two slots are reflected in the corresponding lower beam of the frame.

As mentioned earlier, the cardan shaft is generally longer and heavier, in order not to make the weight of the cardan shaft pressed on the fork head at both ends, the shaft balancing device is generally set. Its balance force is usually 10%-30% larger than the connecting axle load. The balance devices commonly used in hematite beneficiation include spring balance, weight balance and hydraulic balance. Elastic balance is usually used only for the balance of the connecting shafts. Because the rolls connected by the lower coupling shaft do not need to adjust their position during rolling. Due to the large roll lift, the old mill adopts weight balancing, while the new mill adopts hydraulic balancing.
