3. Classification requirements

Fixed coupling: the center line of the two axes required to be connected is strictly aligned;

Movable coupling: allows two axes to have a certain installation error.

Elastic coupling: the elastic components of which are different in material, can compensate the displacement between the two axes within a certain range, and have the role of cushioning and damping.

4. Displacement compensation

Due to manufacturing and installation errors, deformation after bearing, bearing wear, unbalance of rotating parts and temperature changes, the two axes of the coupling often have a certain degree of relative displacement and deflection;

The coupling should take a variety of different measures from the structure to make the coupling have the performance of compensating various offsets, otherwise it will cause additional loads in the design of the shaft, coupling and bearing, leading to the deterioration of the working situation.
