The difference between single diaphragm coupling and double diaphragm coupling

Introduce:
The diaphragm coupling consists of at least one diaphragm and two shaft sleeves. The difference between a single-diaphragm coupling and a double-diaphragm coupling is the ability to handle various deviations, which requires diaphragm bending, so the single-diaphragm coupling is not very suitable for eccentricity. The double-diaphragm coupling can be bent in different directions at the same time to compensate for eccentricity.


Installation steps and precautions:

1. Before installing the diaphragm coupling, first check whether the two shafts of the prime mover and the working machine are concentric, whether there is wrapping paper and scratches on the surface of the two shafts, whether there are sundries in the inner holes of the two half-couplings of the coupling, and whether there are any debris in the inner holes. Whether there is any bruise on the edge of the hole, if so, the shaft and half coupling should be cleaned, and the bruise should be treated with a fine file. Then check whether the diameter and length of the inner holes of the two half-couplings are consistent with the diameter and shaft extension of the prime mover and working machine. Generally, when selecting the type, it is better to make the length of the half-coupling of the prime mover and the working machine end less than the shaft extension length of 10-30mm.
2. For ease of installation, it is best to place the two half-couplings in a 120--150 incubator or oil tank for preheating, so that the size of the inner hole will increase and it will be easy to install. After installation, ensure that the shaft head cannot protrude from the end face of the half-coupling, and it is better to be flush. Detect the distance between the two half-couplings: take the average of the readings at 3-4 points along the inner sides of the flanges of the half-coupling, and the sum of the measured dimensions of the extended section and the two diaphragm groups. The error is controlled within the range of 0-0.4mm.
3. Alignment: Use a dial indicator to detect the runout of the end face and outer circle of the two half coupling flanges. When the outer circle of the flange is less than 250mm, the runout value should not be greater than 0.05mm; when the outer circle of the flange is greater than 250mm , the beating value should not be greater than 0.08.
4. Install the bolts: Insert the bolts from the outside of the small hole of the flange, and put them on the buffer sleeve, elastic washer, twist the nuts, and tighten the nuts with a wrench. If the installation is uncomfortable or removed and replaced without damaging the shaft and half-couplings, please use the tools as shown in Figure 3 to Figure 7 and install them. After the installation is completed, it is better to rotate freely.
5. Instructions for operators: Before starting the equipment, check whether the nuts of the coupling are loose or fall off. If so, tighten the nuts with a wrench in time. The equipment should be started without load for 1 minute and then the valve of the load pipeline should be opened; the shutdown sequence is reversed. (Please paint the outside of the coupling with engine oil every month). Import pump valve

Practice has proved that if the installation, maintenance and operation are carried out according to the instructions and requirements, the daily start-up times of the diaphragm coupling will be 1-5 times, and the service life of the diaphragm will be at least 5 years. If the installation is not carried out according to the requirements of the manual, Maintenance, operation, especially the wrong direction of the bolts will cause the diaphragm to be deformed or the axis center of the two shafts of the prime mover and the working machine will be shifted too much, which will cause the diaphragm to advance.
