Structure and working principle of tire coupling

Description:
Tire coupling is a kind of coupling, with good shock absorption buffer and offset compensation performance between shafts, working temperature -20~80 degrees Celsius, transfer torque 10~20000N. M, suitable for wet, dusty, impact, vibration, positive and negative change and frequent starting working conditions, and easy to disassemble and assemble, because the elastic element is a whole tire body, disassembly and maintenance is convenient, no lubrication, installation and maintenance are more convenient.

Classification and characteristics of tire coupling:
The tire coupling is divided into two categories: convex type and concave type, and the convex type is divided into three types: skeleton integral type, boneless integral type and radial incision type.
Their common feature is that the tire ring is bolted to connect the two half couplings to achieve the connection of the two shafts, the inside of the tire ring is bonded to the steel skeleton by vulcanization method, and the bolt hole on the skeleton is welded with a nut. Assembly with the bolt and the flange of the two halves of the coupling connection, relying on tightening the bolt between the tire and the flange end face to transfer torque, tire ring working torsion shear deformation, so the tire coupling has a high elasticity, compensation for the relative displacement of the two axes is larger, and has good damping, and simple structure, no lubrication, installation and disassembly and maintenance are more convenient.

Disadvantages of tire coupling:
The disadvantage is that the carrying capacity is not high and the overall size is large. With the increase of the relative torsion Angle of the two axes, the appearance of the tire is distorted, and the axial size is slightly reduced, which will produce a large additional axial force on the two axes, increasing the bearing load and reducing the life. When the tire coupling is running at high speed, the centrifugal force on the outer edge of the tire expands outwards, which will further increase the additional axial force. To this end, measures should be taken when installing the coupling to make the direction of stress in the tire opposite to the direction of stress generated during work, in order to offset part of the additional axial force to achieve the working conditions of the coupling and the two bearings.
